Inspired by the Montessori approach and Bruno Munari’s creative workshops, I integrated sensory methodologies and hands-on activities to support learning in a natural, playful, and engaging manner.
The project was developed in alignment with the Berliner Bildungsprogramm, the educational framework for early childhood services in Berlin. This program emphasizes play, autonomous discovery, and experiential learning, supporting the holistic development of each child within an inclusive and stimulating environment.
Bilingualism and Sensory Exploration in an Early Childhood Setting
Workshop (Italian/German) for Children Aged 1 to 3
Conducted daily during the Morgenkreis over a four-month period in a Berlin kindergarten, this workshop engaged a group of eight children aged between 1 and 3 years
The main objective was to promote vocabulary development in both Italian and German through the sensory exploration of everyday and recycled materials.
The workshop was conceived and implemented as the final thesis project for my early childhood education training (Ausbildung) at a vocational school in Berlin.
